Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) Release Candidate (RC)

Nu har Microsoft släppt releasekandidaten på SP1 för Windows Server 2008R2 (och Windows 7).

Två stora nyheter som kommer i SP1 är Dynamic Memory och Remote FX.

  • Dynamic memory gör att man som administratör kan ha en pool av tillgängligt minne på en fysisk host och sedan dynamiskt tilldela den till virtuella maskiner baserat på belastning.

 

  • Remote FX ger en avsevärt bätte upplevelse för användaren av en virtualiserad desktop när det kommer till t ex rörlig grafik. Jag har sett en demo på denna och blev väldigt överraskad och imponerad.
